NOTICE OF REGATTA

 

  1. RULES

Racing will be governed :

1.1. by the ‘rules’ as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing 2017 – 2020

1.2 by the federal regulation

1.3. by part B, sectionn II of RIPAM (COLREG) when it replaces the rules in Chapter 2 of the RCV (RRS), between the legal time of sunset and surise

  1. ADVERTISING

Acording to ISAF Regulation 20 (Advertising code) and FFV advertising regulation, boats may be required to display advertising chosen and suplied by the organizing authority.

 

  1. ELIGIBILITY AND REGISTRATION

3.1 The regatta is open for sailboats longer than 6 m. The Race Direction reserves the right to refuse the registration of the competitor.

3.2. The sailboat must be armed with the safety equipment for the costal or offshore navigation (<6 miles and >6 miles).

3.3. Non-francized boats must be in conformity with their national legislation.

3.4. The regatta is open for all boats of type Grand Surprise, First 31.7, J80, Pogo 8.50, Classe 6.50, Classe Open 7.50, Easy to Fly, Mini 6.50 (Protos and Boats Series), Figar’one, Figaro 2, M34, Class 40, Multi 50, IMOCA, to the HN, IRC, Multi 2000 and Classic Jauge boats.

The Race Direction reserves the right to invite any other Monotype class to participate in the event.

All baots more than 6 meters not belongi to one of the categorie will be brought together in a class called «Free Class»

3.5. All boats can register by competing the entry form online at http://www.yclt.fr/inscriptions/ and free the required registration fees by CD or by cheque, sent by following address : YCLT – 2 bis rue des frères kermorvant – 56470 La Trinité-sur-Mer.

3.6. Each boat must have at least two persons on the baord.

3.7. The online registration is open until 28 April 2017, 23:59

3.8. Untill 23 April 2017 competitors can complete or modify their registration with following documents :

– Certificate of conformity of the sailboat

 

Certificate of insurance of the sailboat, valid on 30 April 2017

 

– The valid licence for each crew member (annual or temporary) with the medical stamp (or attached medical certificate). Foreign not-licenced competitors have to prouve their national ISAF member

 

Parental authorization for minors (free form)

 

– If necessary, advertising autorisation

 

Jauge Certificate or conformity, valid for 2017 (exept the boats of «Free Class»)

If you downloaded all the mentioned documets online, you simplified your satturday April 29 and organization will be able to give you quickly yyour race instruction, pavilion and other documents.

After Sunday 23 April 2017, 23:59 it will be possible to register your boat and complete your crew, but it will be impossible to downlod any documents. Missing documents must be presented Saturday, 29 April 2017 during the confirmation of registration in La Trinité sur Mer.

Any cancelation request must be made by written a request mail contact@tourdebelleile.com untill 28 February 2017 and will be refunded in part. 15 Euros will be deducted from each registration fees.

From 1 March 2017 any cancellation of registration will not refunded. However it will be possible to replace one crew member for another.

Any changes of crew is possible online untill Friday 28th April, 23:59 without charge. You can still make your changes on the registration 29th April, 2017 before 18:00.

For any last-minute changes between Saturday 29 April after 18:00 and Sunday 30 April 09:00 you can send email at the following address : urgence@tourdebelleile.com .

The skipper engages his responsability in front of the Race Direction by hosting crew members officially registered, on pain of exclusion.

 

  1. ENTRY & FEES

Each participant must pay the following entry fees :

  • Util 31 October 2016 = 25 Euros per person
  • From 1 to 30 November 2016 = 30 Euros per person
  • From 1 to 31 December 2016 = 35 Euros per person
  • From 1 to 31 January 2017 = 40 Euros per person
  • From 1 to 28 February 2017 = 45 Euros per person
  • From 1 to 31 March 2017 = 50 Euros per person
  • From 1 to 23 April 2017 = 55 Euros per person
  • From 24 to 28 April 2017 = 60 Euros per person
  • April 29, 2017 = 65 Euros per person

 

The individual registration allows the participant to recover the participant pack, during the finalization of registration, 29 April 2017 in La Trinité sur Mer.

Participants pack includs :

  • The bag with a logo of TOUR DE BELLE-ILE
  • The necklace TOUR DE BELLE-ILE
  • The week-end’s program
  • Free aperitifs
  • The pocket box for cigarettes, chewing gums and other little items
  • Poster of the TOUR DE BELLE-ILE

  1. JAUGE

Boats could be inspected before, after and during the race. On the water, the race inspector may ask you to join the special area to check your boat.

 

  1. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

7.1. Sailing instruction will be distributed on Saturday, 29 April 2017, after registration conformation.

7.2. Sailing instructions will be also available on the site http://www.tourdebelleile.com

 

  1. ROUTS

8 .1. TOUR DE BELLE-ILE, 42 miles – Le Grand Tour (open to sailboats equipped for ofshore sailing)

Departure from La Trinité sur Mer, turn around the Belle-Ile-en-Mer passing and leaving the island on port. Arrival at La Trinité sur Mer.

8.2. TOUR DE BELLE-ILE, 38 miles – Le P’tit Tour (open for sailboats equipped for costal sailing)

Departure from la Trinité sur Mer, turn around the buoy TOUR DE BELLE-ILE in front of Sauzon, along the interior coast of Belle-Ile, until the Cardinal des Galères. Arrival at La Trinité sur Mer

8.3. Course Reduction

  • After 6 hours of the race, all the boats from Grand Tour that didn’t manage to reach the Cardinal Les Poulains will have to follow the reducted route. These boats will be classifed. The boats will have to leave the Cardinale Les Poulains to port then go towards the finish line.
  • After 6 hours of the race, any boats of P’tit Tour that that didn’t manage to reach the buoy TOUR DE BELLE-ILE in front of Sauzon will have to follow the reducted route, which allows to be classified. The boats should bypass and leave the buoy TOUR DE BELLE-ILE in front of Sauzon to port, then go towards the finish line.

8.4. On the Race Direction decision’s, a different routs, defined in paragraphs 8.1. and 8.2. could be set up for some or all participants.

8.5. Time limit : for all participants the time limit is 14h after departure. Any boat with a real race time more then 14h will be scored DNF.

8.6. Any boat changing the class from the Grand Tour to P’tit Tour during the race will be scored DNF.

 

  1. CLASSIFICATION

9.1. The system for calculating compensated times will be TIME-ON-TIME.

9.2. The race comittee will use The Minimum Point System (The Low Point scoring System) as the classification system.

9.3. Classe’s definition :

Free Class (Classe Libre) : real time ranking for all classes

Monotype Class : Grand Surprise, First 31.7, J80, Pogo 8.50, Classe 6.50 (Mach6.50, K6.50, Open6.50), Easy To Fly, Classe Open 7.50, Mini 6.50 (Protos et bateaux de séries), Figaro 2, M34, Class 40, Multi 50, IMOCA.

IRC : Boats are divided into 5 classes according their IRC coefficient :
IRC 1 : TCC greater than or equal to 1.060
IRC 2 : TCC less than 1.060 and greater than or equal to 1.020
IRC 3 : TCC less than 1.020 and greater than or equal to 0.990
IRC 4a : TCC less than 0.990 and greater than or equal to 0.950
IRC 4b : TCC less than 0.950

 

  1. LIABILITY

Competitors participate in the racing entirely at his own risk. The Race Direction will not accept any liability for material damage, personal injury or death before, during or after the race. The minors are under the responsibility of their parents.

 

  1. PRICES

The prize-giving ceremony will take place on Monday, 1st March at 12:00 at the space TOUR DE BELLE-ILE on the port of La Trinité sur Mer.

Prizes will be distributed as follows :

  • The « TOUR DE BELLE-ILE » trophey will be awarded to the first real-time boat of all classes. The boat will be declared as the vinner of the « TOUR DE BELLE-ILE ».
  • The « MICHEL MALINOVSKI » trophey will be awarded to the first real-time monohull boat.
  • The first three boats from all classes will be awarded during the prize-giving ceremony, if the quantity of the boats greater than or equal to 10
  • Only the winner of each classes will be awarded during the prize-giving ceremony if the quantity of the boats s between 6 and 10.
  • 15 prices minimum will be awarded or drawn duiring the prize-giving ceremony.

The rewarded crew must be presented during the prize-giving ceremony at least by one crew member.

It will be impossible to claim any price after the prize-giving ceremony.

 

  1. INSURANCE

Foreign competitors not licensed by FFV will be required to provide evidence of valid insurance for civil liabiity with cover for a minimum amount of 1,5 million Euros.
