Tour de Belle-Ile : conviviality, simplicity and fun on the water.
A single start-line of 3 km for all participants is the core of the TOUR DE BELLE-ILE. Almost 500 boats alined in the Bay of Quiberon.
All types of boats hang out, the 60’ Open, which take part in biggest regattas (Vendée Glob, Route du Rhum…), trimarans, maxis, legendary boats, like as Pen Duick and sailboats from 6 m.
Created in 2008, The TOUR DE BELLE-ILE starts in the heart of of the Bay of Quiberon for a fabulous navigation around the Belle-Ile-en-Mer. Fascinating contrasts and varieties of amazing landscape enrich this wonderful course.
Thanks to accessible rules you are invited to participate, on smal or large boat, whethever you are professional or amateur. Only constraint is that your boat you sailing on must be 6m or more.
Since 2012, because of security reasons, TOUR DE BELLE-ILE has 2 routes:
1/ Le Grand Tour (open to all sailboats armed with offshore equipment)
Departure from La Trinité sur Mer, turn around the Belle-Ile-en-Mer passing and leaving the island on port. Arrival at La Trinité sur Mer.
2/ Le P’tit Tour (open for sailboats equiped costal)
Departure from la Trinité sur Mer, turn around the buoy TOUR DE BELLE-ILE in front of Sauzon, along the interior coast of Belle-Ile, until the Cardinal des Galères. Arrival at La Trinité sur Mer.
