Collecting the different worlds of the sail

Since its creation in 2008, the main idea of the event is to propose a day of competition simple and accessible for everebody.First of all, The TOUR DE BELLE-ILE is a race for amateur boates where the professionals of the offshore race are welcome. Our participants appreciate this proximity with the great names of sailing, explains Romain Pilliard, creator and organizer of the TOUR DE BELLE-ILE. And this year, the hundreds of anonymous sailors will sail next to Imoca Safran of Morgan Lagravière, a participant of the last Vendée Globe, and VOR 65 Dongfeng of Charles Caudrelier who will start next Volvo Ocean Race with his Franco-Chinese crew. The multihulls will also show off with the Ultim Actual, a 31-meter trimaran led by Yves Le Blévec, the Sensation Océan trimaran skippered by Alain Gautier or the multi 50 FenêtréA by Erwan Leroux and Chocolat Reauté led by Armel Tripon. Faithful to the race, the navigator Jean-Pierre Dick returns this time on Easy to Fly, a new flying multihull 8,10 m. Participating in the same race, at the same time and under the same conditions as their idols, a precious and privileged moment for competitors. So, the succes is inevitably. From small sailboats of 6 meters to maxi multihulls, participants from 7 to 77 years old, the TOUR DE BELLE-ILE reflects more than ever the eclecticism of sailing at all levels.
